BEACONS, ICONS AND DYKONS

I'm queering the south-west. This is my regular night that celebrates queer icons in celluloid. The night offers a selection of hit and run cabaret all inspired by our chosen icon. The performances are always memorable, trashy, moving and avant garde.

Past icons have included John Waters, Dolly Parton, Dirk Bogart and Elizabeth Taylor. The event takes place roughly every 6 weeks, in Bristol, at the Cube. To be notified join the mailing list or like the event's Facebook page.

news!

We launched a new season of Beacons, Icons and Dykons by  queering up the Museum. BID presented The Bad Taste of the Town at Bristol Museum and Art Gallery on Saturday 16 May 2015.

We’ll be presenting other events in venues around Bristol throughout 2015-16, so keep watching...

THE PERFORMANCE
RE-ENACTMENT SOCIETY

We are an occasional collective of artists, archivists and researchers, who use archival documents and audience’s memories to revive past art experiences and create them anew. Our collaborative performance re-enactments are acts of conservation and transform past works into new events. PRS is currently myself, Clare Thornton, and Paul Clarke.

THE SPAGHETTI CLUB

I was a core member of The Spaghetti Club from 2000 to 2008. We were agent provocateurs within the Live Art sector, working in many venues across the country with a DIY, punk spirit. Most significantly we established relationships with artists and artists networks, organised meetings, artists talks and platform events including: Three-Minute Warning (produced Tonight Matthew), I am..... and I Am Your Worst Nightmare. In 2007 we curated the Darkside events.
